As if there needed to be further indication of New York’s hostile takeover of Miami, Max Fish opened a pop-up bar for the week in celebration of their 20th anniversary (who was there on their opening day, Dec 4, 1989, btw?). To sweeten the deal, Gang Gang Dance played to a super psyched crowd. We ran into a bunch of friends and familiar faces from New York and had an awesome time dancing to Lizzi’s drum sesh. In fact, we even documented the special occasion with some pics and a video recreated here… check it out!

A video installation is being organized at the Standard Hotel Spa Miami for Art Basel and will be showcasing ‘Subliminal’ a video piece created by the artist Justin Edward John Smith for six Scents: Series Two perfumes. The video piece will be installed in the Hammam and consists of 3 projectors, smoke and a very intense score. It was originally created to capture the emotions behind each Six Scents: Series Two fragrance.
